Jennifer joined the Lighthouse Growth Resources team in 2009 to assist with accounting and bookkeeping for many of LGR’s clients. Jennifer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Maryville University with her B.S. in Accounting.
During and after college, she worked as the Financial Secretary for a private high school, developing her knack for understanding finances, planning and budgeting, managing cash flow, developing effective reporting strategies, and creating bookkeeping processes.
Following this position, she started her own small business, which she owned for two-and-a-half years. This developed a deeper level of real-world experience, as well as an understanding of the unique financial issues and needs that face small businesses.
Currently, Jennifer works with LGR clients on a variety of levels, including performing routine accounting tasks on a regular schedule, doing month and year-end closes, creating unique key indicator and financial reports, and helping new businesses create (or existing businesses modify) their accounting systems and train their staff. Jennifer also enjoys figuring out and fixing problems within the books that need to be rectified.
Jennifer’s keen attention to detail and adherence to correct accounting procedure keeps the bookkeeping organized and correct, which is essential to obtaining usable financial reports for the business. This is also appreciated by her clients’ tax accountants, whom she works closely with, as it minimizes year-end corrections and tax preparations.
Over her time at LGR, the number of clients that Jennifer works with has grown, giving her valuable experience in a variety of different industries. Jennifer is currently accepting a limited number of additional clients.
