Strategic Planning

Our dynamic strategic plan process differs from typical strategic plans in several ways. It is designed to be a process that covers just 12 to 24 months, a very long time in our rapidly-changing world. Secondly, our dynamic process includes key managers in regular interactions to address both long-term plans and short-term priorities. Further, the product of our process is a crisply documented plan that can be readily implemented—rather than producing planning binders that sit on a shelf. Finally, our ongoing follow-up process ensures that the plans that are developed are implemented and that accountability is maintained.

Mergers and Acquisitions

As businesses go through their life cycle, the opportunity to acquire another company may present itself. In addition, eventually every business owner must address the issue of succession planning, which sometimes results in the need to consider the sale of the business. Many people offer to assist companies with mergers and acquisitions, but LGR’s approach is unique. Selling a business is a long-term process. Our initial engagement with a client who is contemplating the sale of a business is focused on understanding the strengths of the business and addressing any issues that might detract from the ability to sell the business for the best possible price. We generally work with a client for several months to enhance the business before taking it to market.
